Current implementation of org.opennms.netmgt.poller.monitors.SshMonitor results in excessive logging on Cisco ASR 9ks. The following syslog gets generated everytime:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Jun 14 15:21:44.466 : SSHD_[65604]: %SECURITY-SSHD-6-INFO_GENERAL : Client closes socket connection RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Jun 14 15:21:44.469 : SSHD_[65604]: %SECURITY-SSHD-3-ERR_GENERAL : Failed to receive KEXINIT msg from client
This excessive logging is causing our Network Operations to no longer allow SSH from our OpenNMS servers.
SshMonitor doesn't really talk the SSH protocol.
is open to create an SshMonitor that talks the SSH protocol the full way through.
