Issue was fixed in 20.0.2 release.

I am still having this issue after upgrading to 20.0.1

I do notice that the IP being discovered is the iSCSI interface and not the management interface.  Since our iSCSI VLAN is not routable, OpenNMS is not able to connect to the host.

Resolving with simple NPE fix, we can look at addressing the root cause if we have further details.

I am running vCenter 6.0. Let me know what other logs you may need.

This will solve the NPE but there is still the question why a virtual machine is not returning a

valid host system it runs on. Maybe the machine's powerState prevents to return a valid host
system or it is a template. I've never had this problem and these kind of exceptions on my
VMware test systems. A debug log output or a log output with this fix applied would help.
