missing files in debian x64 distribution

Description

Unable to install properly the debian x64 package.

  • missing files in /etc/opennms and subdirectories

  • files with .dpkg-dist extention.

To install opennms, I have to :

rename or erase *.dpkg-dist files
copy files from /var/lib/opennms/etc-pristine/ to /etc/opennms

Some xml files have the wrong extention ( *.xml..dpkg-dist ) or are missing in
/usr/share/opennms/jetty-webapps/opennms-remoting/WEB-INF
( applicationContext-cxf-rest-v1.xml,
applicationContext-remote-poller.xml,
applicationContext-spring-webflow.xml,
messages.xml,
urlrewrite.xml)

and
/usr/share/opennms/jetty-webapps/opennms/WEB-INF

This is the standard way Debian handles files you have modified or deleted on your own when you do an upgrade.  It is up to you to resolve the conflicts manually.

It can also happen if you uninstalled OpenNMS once before but didn't use apt-get purge or dpkg --purge when you removed them, and then try reinstalling.
