Selection is lost when using the Topology UI

Description

If one vertex or multiple vertices are selected moving (using the pan tool) the map results in a de-selection of all elements.

The selection should only be reset if the user clicks on the background of the map.

That pan tool should only deselect the icons on a single click of the background. If the pan tool is being used to pan the vertices (click and hold on the background), then the selection list should not alter. Your assumption is correct.
