The approach is good because we have already all information we need at this point. But I don't like the fact, that you have to set up your poll outages in the node search menu instead of the scheduled outages itself. But I guess the search menu from the node page might could be added into the scheduled outage page for this purpose only.

But let's try an other way:  Why the scheduled outages are bind on the database ids? Is this conceptional correct? I mean, we have the foreignId and a label. Also categories or IP ranges which could be used for selection. Additionally I claim, that nobody cares about the database IDs, don't they?

Add a link to the top of the node search results page to create new or append to existing scheduled outage.
