problem is when viewing node details or even moreso - interface details the information is not up to the minute.. - often times it seems hours or days old.. we need a button on the page that switches to a live mode and immediately forces a refresh of the data without waiting.. for the node and for the interfaces.. - for example when checking a port status or a description - even after forcing a refresh from the node page it takes hours for it to 'queue up' and a manual refresh like that should be instant (from the web gui only).

additionally the NODE page for ip interfaces should have a health bar icon like (hobbit) does green lights and red lights.. - green for good healthy and red for problem that checks 'live' the ping - the reverse and forward dns lookups and compares the hostname to the snmp name to the dns name -and potentially the active directory connection (ldap)
this can poll once per page refresh (yes the page kind of displays this info already but not clearly and cleanly.)

the additional info would be to gather the mac address and search for it on the devices/switches and routers to see its path ..
