The function "View Alarm Status" was removed a couple of releases ago (I do not know the exact release version). The "Alarm Status" or better "Vertex Status" is now represented by a colored square around the vertex. This has been improved a lot compared to 1.12.X as mentioned in the issue. Marking as "Won't Fix" as this can neither be reproduced nor is it representing the current state of the application. If this issue still occurs in newer versions of OpenNMS Horizon (e.g. 18.0.X or 19.0.X) or in OpenNMS Meridian (any version) feel free to reopen any time.

Is this still an issue?

ok, I reproduced and attached karaf.log with the stacktrace for the workaround, I agree with you, the best workaround would be to disable the option until it gets fixed, maybe using an option in a config file.

Next time you try this can you send me the karaf.log file (OPENNMS_HOME/data/logs/karaf.log). There should be an stacktrace.
The only workaround would be not to select the alarm status menu item. But that's not really a good work around is it. Hehe.

Donald do you have an idea when this will be fixed...can you suggest a work around?
