Aha... It was the property name change in opennms.properties... I didn't notice that it had changed and I overwrote opennms.properties with a saved copy that had my customization (turning discovery on in provisiond). The new pinger seems to be working now.

Also there was a change in a property name is this revision... did you just copy over opennms.properties?

The new section looks like this.. (Note the property name change)

I will change to code so that even if this value is left out it works correctly

Can you provide the entire stack trace for that... Is this at runtime or build time that you are getting this?

I'm attempting to build an RPM now, which includes a ./clean.pl step so we'll see how that goes once it's finished.
