opennms fails to discovery mikrotik device

Description

The error is also described in the thread "SNMPJ Problem" dated 31 jan 08.
Basically snmp4j fails to discover the device because it probably returns values counter32 in the interface counters. For instance snmpwalk says:

IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.5 = Counter32: 4679290
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.6 = Counter32: 428308102
truncating unsigned value to 32 bits (2)
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.67 = Counter32: 2662431781
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.69 = Counter32: 27351789

Ran into the same issue in ONMS 1.8.10.

I had to force v1 SNMP collection and specify max-vars-per-pdu="10" in snmp-config.xml.

Worked like a charm after that.

As a matter of fact I am currently running 1.7.9 against mikrotik devices without problems.
Closing the issue.

Has this been resolved? Matt thinks it has since we had a lot of issues with 64-bit values being returned by net-snmp.
