Search query not working properly

Description

When using the advanced search on the events and I select "critical"
there are no results returned. Even if that is the only search
constraint.

The search constraints:

event is outstanding [Show acknowledged]
IP Address like "..." [Remove]
severity=Critical [Remove]

You have to click the [Remove] next to the IP Address like "..." to get
the query to work properly.

I believe this got changed a couple of releases ago. People were reporting that no events were showing up, but it's because events without associated IPs (just nodes) wouldn't match when ... was the filter.

The dialog was changed to not enter a filter by default for IP address.

Chris,
can you add the details for the events that do shop after you remove the '...'

specifically I wanted to know if the events had ipAddrs associated with them.

You can send me that ip's separately through a trouble ticket if you need to.

I don't think that ... matches null.
