Opaque SNMP Data Type Not Passing Tests

Description

When I try to validate a data collection definition which includes an “opaque” value type, it fails to validate:

According to our documentation it appears that “opaque” should be supported:

Here’s what the XML looks like:

This doesn’t necessarily stop OpenNMS from starting, but it does cause “xmllint” and “config-tester” to throw out errors because of this. Let me know if I can provide any other data.

Sorry .

I tested this in Horizon 31.0.5, where it did work. The xmllint validates the file and there are no issues.

However in Horizon 30.0.0, it did not pass. In Horizon 30.0.4 it does pass. It also passes in 31.0.X. I need to test in Meridian still.

I’ll check that shortly. Thank you for the heads up.

This is not expected to be in in M2021. Can you please check with M2023 or H30 if that works in this case?
