In the main Service Monitors section, there are references to Common configuration parameters that are used through out the various service monitors.

For example, in the StrafePingMonitor page, there is mention to filter, include-range, and downtime. None of these are referenced in the “Configuration and use” of this page nor the “Common Configuration Parameters” page. These options don’t have clear explanations as to if they are required, what their description is, or the default value. Would these be appropriate to be included in the Common Configuration Parameters page or just for the StrafePingMonitor page?

In the PageSequenceMonitor page, there is a section under the examples that states “The parameters (j_username and j_password) indicate the form’s data and values to submit.”, but the associated configuration example doesn’t have any details about the entries.

Where these fields should be documented, what they are, and how they work would help clear up some confusion.
