During an investigation in a larger Minion deployment, we have seen Prometheus with the Java exporter is used to fetch internal JVM metrics. The people who deployed and maintained the environment pointed out if the Micrometer API would be available in the Minions JVM it would make the operational life easier to operate and maintain a larger fleet of Minions.

Micrometer is a facade API for metrics and makes it easier to integrate into existing monitoring solutions.
