In some instances, a pod will fail but can eventually recover if it is restarted. For instance, several recently failed due to issues pulling the init container. In cases like these, the CRD should be marked as failed and the operator should periodically attempt to restart the pod. If it eventually recovers, the CRD should be updated accordingly.
