Setting up a Windows Server 2008R2 x64 full install for testing. Followed http://www.opennms.org/wiki/WmiConfiguration using a local user only. Had to do the registry key permissions change, disable User Account Control (UAC) and disable Admin Approval Mode. Also turned off Windows Firewall in a fit of rage.

After all that wrestling, configured wmi-config.xml on OpenNMS side:

Restarted OpenNMS, requisitioned a node with the WMI service on its one interface, and verified presence of RRD files.

Verified working resource graphs with sane-seeming data for node-level, physical disk, network interface, and other WMI attributes.

Created a new package in threshd-configuration.xml:

And a corresponding group in thresholds.xml:

Verified both thresholds were exceeded and highThresholdExceeded events created.
