Sorry for that, but unfortunately the VmwareMonitor and VmwareCimMonitor were not able to
initialize the NodeDao on my machine in this DefaultServiceRegistry way. So I used the initialize()
code from the CiscoPingMibMonitor class and this seem to work.

So, what is the best way to create a NodeDao (or any other *Dao) instance in a poller?

Hey Christian,

I see you unmade a change Donald had made for . Can you please make sure that this isn't going to happen anymore? That's why the change was made to try the DefaultServiceRegistry.

Tested & working

  • provisioning of nodes from vSphere v5.1 and v5.5

  • data collection

  • polling problem due to broken nodeDao initialization, it's fixed now
