Resource metrics and attributes should be optional when searching

Description

Sometimes we use the Search API to determine whether or not a particular resource exists.

In this cases, it should be possible to avoid fetching the metric names and attributes for all of the resources in the result set.

We should also wrap the metrics property of the search results with an Optional, but this breaks the current API, so we defer this change to 1.4.0 - see .
